Jon and I took a nice little vaca in Cali the weekend of his birthday. He turned 25 on the 18th of July :). It's so nice to be able to take off for the weekend and cruise out to Cali to visit some of the fam.

It's double sided, don't like to wear it like the top pic shows, I like it more in the bottom pic.

I'm so bummed at the moment... Jon, Amy and Charlie left me this morning =(. Amy was here for almost a full week and now she is headed back home to Salt Lake, back to the freezing cold. Not only am I people-less, my dog and the car are gone too! No fun at all! I'll be flying to Salt Lake on Wednesday so I'm by myself for only a couple days, not too bad. Usually, when Jon is gone I have Charlie here to keep me entertained, not this time. I'm having to find some other source of entertainment. There are a few books that I want to finish reading so I think that's what I'm going to do. And, I do have work Mon-Wed so that'll keep me busy. Jon and I only have the one car which means I will be taking the good 'ol bus to work the next few days...bummer. We had a ton of fun with Amy being here, it's too bad it's already over! Time slips away way too quickly! I am way excited to see everyone and be reminded of how lucky I am to be living in a place with beautiful warm weather =)! I'm excited to experience the snow and cold again, as surprising as this may sound for someone who complained so much about the snow and cold when I lived in it. It's true that you don't realize how much things (or dogs and people) really mean to you until they're gone. Anyway, that's it for my rambling at the moment. I am going to go cook some salmon for myself. Hope everyone is doing well :).

Just finished reading a really good book called, "Lost in Place", by Mark Salzman. (Thanks mom for sending the book). I highly recommend it...I want to put a quote in here from the book that I find to be so true! It goes like this,
"Can anyone imagine anything duller than not having anything to wonder about? The possibility of our being forever unable to know everything all at once may be the best design feature of this whole human experiment!"

K so , I've been saying I would start this for some time now, and FINALLY am doing it! This seemed a little more confusing to put together than what people made it out to be...I'm sure it gets easier over time...I really like my title cuz life really does seem like a box of chocolates, I never know what I'm going to get!
